国外的眼镜店都是长的什么样?

Oliver Peoples is proud to announce the opening of its pop-up shop in East Hampton, New York. Located on Newtown Lane, the shop, opening Memorial Day Weekend, will feature the new Summer 2015 collection and a curated selection of exclusive custom Oliver Peoples frames.

“We have always wanted to be in East Hampton with our own store,” says CEO David Schulte. “Our Malibu location does great and we felt East Hampton was the perfect bookend to that. We have a goal to open stores where we believe our customers are and without a doubt, particularly in the summer, the Hamptons is home to many of them.”

Oliver Peoples worked with Los Angeles based design-build practice, Marmol Radziner to help manifest a vision of a gutted art installation, barren of any fixtures or clutter. “We had the chance to jump on a fantastic location,” said Schulte. “The problem was that we only had 4 weeks to work with. For a pop up, we felt that less was more. To me, there is a relationship to this part of Long Island with art and the idea of a sparse space in this feel felt right. Maybe in Fall we will build it out properly.”

Marmol Radziner stripped down the existing space and covered the floor with unfinished plywood like the kind that might be found at a construction site. A filmic projection of scenic images on the back wall, a nod to the brand’s Southern California origins, is intended to captivate and encourage patrons to linger just a bit longer in the transient moment. The result is artist’s studio meets gallery space, where the art is the merchandise – a truly unique retail experience that will last, at a minimum through fall.
